Wanna One is a South Korean boy band formed by CJ E&M through the second season of the reality show Produce 101. They debuted on August 7, 2017, and disbanded on December 31, 2018. As part of their promotion, Wanna One appeared on the popular Korean variety show Weekly Idol multiple times. Weekly Idol is a variety show that features various K-Pop idol groups as guests and airs every Wednesday on MBC Every1. On the show, Wanna One participated in various segments such as the Random Play Dance, which tests the group's ability to dance to their own songs as well as other popular K-Pop songs. They also played games and answered fan questions, providing insight into their personalities and the dynamics within the group. The members of Wanna One were known for their lively and energetic personalities, making their appearances on Weekly Idol a fan favorite.
